My family came from Argentina for a 10-day visit, and we booked a stay here. We agreed to pick up the key around 7 PM because they’d arrive from their trip at 2 AM, though the woman offered to hand it over when they got there at 2. When we arrived, she seemed agitated, smelled of alcohol, and had dilated pupils. She said she’d charge us for an extra night because she’d had to wait, even though that was the option she had offered. My Brazilian boyfriend tried to ask which room it was and explain that my family didn’t speak Portuguese, but they wouldn’t let him in. We cancelled the stay. Then she got more agitated, hit my boyfriend, and called over a guy who seemed really out of it, and they started fighting. My mother and younger brother were in shock and didn’t want to stay. They took a long time to return the money and threatened that if I complained or left a review, they’d deal with me in an even worse way. Worst place in the world. Barra da Lagoa doesn’t have a good vibe, and there’s drug dealing on the street where the inn is.

A great spot, and it has everything you need for a good vacation.
