It’s a family-friendly place, and the service was okay. The guesthouse is clean and well looked after, with everything in the room working. Still, I wouldn’t return. It’s a bit far from places like pharmacies, bakeries, restaurants, and bars. The room’s lighting is weak, and it’s very small: there’s room for a standard bed and some luggage space, but no wardrobe, and nowhere to open a suitcase except on the bed. The air conditioning only reaches the bedroom. The only TV is 20 inches, and the satellite-like signal isn’t much help. Kitchen items were in good condition, but there was only one knife. The parking area is small, so a car can get blocked in when it’s busy and someone has to be called to move. Sound insulation is poor too, and noise from nearby shared areas can disturb your rest. 😕

The hardest part of our stay was leaving. After going out Saturday night, we needed to wait for the road conditions to improve before driving. I asked for a late checkout and was spoken to rudely. I’ve never stayed somewhere with checkout at 10 am. They said we could leave at 11 or pay for another night, so we rushed off and the drive to Curitiba took eight hours instead of the usual three. The guesthouse was empty when we checked out and apparently had no new arrivals, so I felt they could have let us stay a few extra hours and earned our loyalty as first-time customers. They did follow their rules, though. The place was clean, and we were treated well most of the time. The TV had a bad connection, the rooms were tiny, and the bed took up almost all the space, leaving nowhere for a suitcase or clothes since there’s no wardrobe. Parking was small, though I managed to maneuver.

We felt at home thanks to Sr. Dilmo and his family, who welcomed us so warmly. The houses are simple, tidy, and clean, with complete kitchen utensils and bedding, table linens, and towels. They also let guests use a little washing machine, which was great for getting my clothes washed. Barra da Lagoa beach is beautiful, about a 20-minute walk away, and there are several little shops and restaurants. The market is close enough to walk to as well. A great location.

Seo Dilmo and his family give guests such warm, attentive service, and the place has a really welcoming, organized feel. It’s family-friendly, with clean, well-equipped accommodations, including appliances, kitchen utensils, towels, and bed linens. There’s parking, and it’s close to Barra da Lagoa beach, which is excellent. We had a great place to enjoy a family vacation.
