The place was clean and organized, and the location is fantastic, but we've stayed twice and it has fallen in our estimation. They no longer serve breakfast, don't replenish basic toiletries, and left us stained towels. Charging if you stain them is fair, but the electric stove was rusty. They didn't change the towels every two days as they said they would, and service felt cold and abrupt. There's a café where the employee doesn't understand Portuguese. The best approach is to check in and not ask for any more services. Cleaning only happens after seven days. The TV had no antenna.

The only positive I can give this place is its beachfront location. I absolutely don't recommend it and wouldn't return. The photos and videos they post are edited and nowhere near reality. It was a rip-off, especially since it wasn't cheap compared with other resorts on the same beachfront that don't have rats. I gave it one star only because the review form wouldn't let me leave it blank. I booked in good faith because the owners are Argentinian, and because I'd vacationed here 40 years ago, when it was an alpine resort. A complete disappointment. We stayed seven days in house number 2, which we rented for five people. The fifth bed didn't exist as a proper bed. It was a pull-out extension from under a box spring, no more than 70 cm wide, with an 80 cm mattress on top that let the person sleeping there fall off the sides. Only one side could be used because the other was covered in mold. The living room sofa was old and broken. I didn't complain at first and tried to settle in and enjoy the stay. The Wi-Fi was practically nonexistent, the walls were faded and dirty, and the kitchen cupboards smelled awful and were so musty that you couldn't put anything inside. One cupboard looked ready to fall down. On the first day, I asked to reserve the grill. They said it was occupied but would save it for us the following day. When we went back, someone else was using it, and they offered no solution when I complained. We asked again on the third day, only to be told it was already unavailable for another seven days. The covered barbecue area acts like a restaurant at lunchtime and is available for dinner in the evening. On our first night eating there, more than ten cockroaches appeared at once. We got up and left it at that. The next night, while setting the table, we saw rats coming from under the park deck and wandering around as if it belonged to them. We were disgusted and went somewhere else. We politely asked Mario if rats were common in the complex. He said yes, because they couldn't fumigate due to "animal preservation." We tried eating there again, but three rats climbed onto the deck where we were about to have dinner and started fighting.

The beach view was the best part, and being away from the center made it quiet and uncrowded. The apartment needs cleaning and maintenance, though. There were no TVs in the rooms, and the air conditioning was so loud that we had to switch it off to sleep.
