Barra da Lagoa is a great base for trekking, with walks of a few minutes leading to routes toward the middle, north, and south of the island. It’s a very quiet spot, about four blocks from the beach and six from the town center. The staff are really friendly and always ready to help, and breakfast is delicious and generous, with everything from fruit to pieces of cheese bread. The apartments vary a lot in comfort. “01-Canasvieiras” is the best, on the ground floor and ventilated at both ends. Apartments 02 and 03 have a ground floor kitchen and small living room, but their upstairs bedrooms have no windows. The other apartments on the second floor get very hot. Also, the pool isn’t as long or large as it looks in the pictures.

Our stay was warm and felt very family-oriented, and we both loved it. The room, pool, and whole property were clean and well cared for. Chay, the housekeeper, was incredibly friendly and always helped whenever we had a question or needed something. It was our first time in Floripa, and we chose Pousada Lozalti because it was close to some interesting tourist spots. We had a wonderful time and will absolutely come back.
