I wouldn't choose this inn again or recommend it. If you do stay, check everything carefully beforehand so there are no unpleasant surprises. The smell made it seem as if the place hadn't been cleaned. In our room, they seemed to sweep and maybe wipe the furniture; the cupboard was dirty, and there was no broom or brush for us to use. After the beach, some sand always gets inside, and it stayed on the floor until the next cleaning, which was every other day. That cleaning meant sweeping, not mopping, and making the bed. Rooms 14 and 15 apparently don't get Wi-Fi, though it may work in other rooms. It was fast and reliable in the hallway. The stove felt dangerous. Turning on the burners caused little explosions until the thermocouple kicked in. The refrigerator did have a freezer, which is acceptable for an inn. Since hot water was only available in the electric shower, the other taps ran cold, so washing off grease or oil was a struggle. The blackout curtains were very good, and the bedroom was comfortable. The air conditioning was only in the bedroom, though, and we had highs of 30°C (86°F). The dining area was bearable but not pleasant. The unit had no knobs to adjust the AC temperature or power, so we ended up sleeping with blankets. I didn't hear bothersome noise most of the time, but one night someone played loud music and it was awful, as if they were inside our house.

Honestly, it isn't as bad as people say. It's a guesthouse, so there's Wi-Fi, showers, a bed, and somewhere to sleep after the beach or a party. It's clean enough, with bleach on the floor. The only real downside is that a few things are missing, like a toaster. I don't get all the hate, though I'm also fed up with Argentinians...

The owner, Fabian, is a genius, and everyone here is so friendly. The place is beautiful, comfortable, and very clean, with a kitchen, refrigerator, fan, and air conditioning. It's close to everything. This was our first year, and we're very happy. We'll be back with our family next year, God willing.

A real disaster. The refrigerator was filthy, very worn out, and had no freezer. The bathroom had no water, and the kitchen faucet was so loose and weak that pressing it too hard could leave you holding the tap, with water spraying everywhere. There was no cleaning service, and the cleaning they did was poor. They show you a photo of the yellow inn, Posada Maria's, but since it's a group of inns, you may not get the one shown. You pay what they ask for what they advertise, then arrive to find this on your vacation. I'm thinking about filing a complaint with the tourism board!

It was easy to get anywhere from these apartments, right in the center, and we were very happy with them. They're well painted, the shower pressure is good, and there's a little laundry area. They clean every other day, and we'd definitely choose the place again. The setup was clean, tidy, and fully equipped. It has a microwave, refrigerator, stove, and TV, though we didn't use the TV because it's in Portuguese. There's a small terrace where you can have mate after a beach day, and the atmosphere is very family friendly. The staff and security guard were respectful and always greeted us politely. The one exception was the man downstairs with headphones, who didn't greet us back and gave us dirty looks. I found that disrespectful, but oh well. At first, the smell in the apartments bothered me. Then I noticed the same smell in several places in Canasvieiras, and got used to it. With the heat, everything is open to let air circulate.
