Pousada Sitio Dos Tucanos

A peaceful little haven in the rainforest, where we could recharge quickly. We stayed in the upper part of the pousada near reception, and it was simply fantastic. The welcome and hospitality were superb, and the place itself is simple but lovely and inviting. We booked Brazilian food on site, and it was excellent. The host can take you to the beach and pick you up if you ask. There’s room on the beach to have your own space or socialize, and a few nice restaurants are nearby. It was a wonderful addition to our holiday.

If you want to rest among native vegetation, this place really delivers. Mascot firula gives you a warm welcome, Marion makes a wonderful breakfast, and the pousada owner, Gerta, makes sure you have the best stay possible. Praia dos Açores and Solidão are 4km away, good for a run or spending the day. To finish things off, master Eduardo prepares dinner with great care. You can choose fish or meat, and both are delicious. Thanks so much for an incredible experience.

We’ve been here with my parents three times, and I’m already keen to come back for a fourth. The owners and staff are exceptionally kind, especially Gerta. The food is delicious and varied, though they only serve breakfast and dinner. The inn has a large property on a hill, with streams, trails, places to relax, a natural pool, and a small parking area for 8 cars and 4 motorcycles. The rooms and the rest of the property have a rustic feel. From the dining area there’s a great view over Dos Acres beach and three islands. It’s a great fit if you enjoy peace and a jungle atmosphere. You can’t hear the city from there, but it isn’t too far away either, just the right distance.

The setting is like paradise, and the place is clean and cozy. The food was really tasty too.
