Pousada Tissiano

The worst part was the lack of air conditioning in the shared areas. Breakfast and the lounges were sweltering, and I suffered at this hotel. The pool was very small, and breakfast was poor, with little variety and tiny portions. We had to keep asking for things to be replenished, and there were so few chairs and tables that if you didn’t get up early, you had to wait for a spot. The room was very small, though it did have air conditioning, a safe, and a mini-fridge. The bathroom sink was clogged, and the toilet tank took ages to refill. They only replaced the toilet paper, soap, or shampoo if we asked, and the supplies were all low quality.

The air conditioning, mini-fridge, and TV with Wi-Fi were good to have. The rest left us disappointed. The pool is small, the breakfast buffet has very little variety, and there was no grill for barbecues when we arrived, despite the photo suggesting there was one. The sheets had sand on them when we checked in at night, and they hadn't been shaken out properly. Soap and shampoo weren't provided daily. When some friends left, the owner accused them of nearly stealing two towels, then found the towels in the closet. She charged them for one and threatened to fire the maid. She also yelled at the staff, which made a bad impression. I wouldn't return; I'd choose another option. I'm giving it 2 stars.

The breakfast was delicious, full, and had plenty of variety, and the location was excellent. The owner and staff were also very friendly and tried to accommodate what guests asked for. But the bathroom felt damp and smelled musty. The cleaning wasn't done well, and the bed linens wouldn't stay in place.

Just a block from the beach and close to the center, with a nice jacuzzi and a varied breakfast. The place was pleasant, and the staff were very friendly. The women making breakfast were especially lovely. Excellent stay, highly recommend it.
