Residencial Cabanas da Praia Mole

We stayed from December 26, 2025, to January 4, 2026, and I was very dissatisfied. The room was nothing like the promotional photos. The shower was rusty, a light bulb was out, and, worst of all, we had no hot water for two days. The air conditioner was noisy, and the TV turned on by itself, probably when someone in the next room used their remote. You also have to register for apps like Globoplay to watch anything, otherwise you’re left without TV. The towels were changed, but housekeeping didn’t sweep the floor, so dirt built up during our stay. Breakfast was extremely disorganized. If you didn’t arrive at the first serving time, restocking was painfully slow and basic items were missing. One day there wasn’t even orange juice. The heated pool had no background music, which made the leisure area feel uncomfortable. The reception team seemed confused and didn’t explain hotel procedures clearly. They often looked grumpy, and there was always some guest dealing with a problem. They also refused to give me a plate and cutlery. After a lot of asking, I went to the kitchen myself and practically begged an employee and the chef for them. The chef was the only friendly person in the whole hotel. At the entrance, staff stopped guests in an aggressive way if they weren’t wearing a wristband, even when arriving by Uber. It was very uncomfortable and excessive. On the second-to-last day, I needed a computer for just five minutes to sign an important document because the DocuSign app wouldn’t open. Reception refused to help and said there was nothing they could do, without making any effort to solve it.

The room and bathroom were both quite spacious, and the reception team were really attentive. The one negative thing we found was the bathroom door, which wasn’t installed properly and made a lot of noise when opening or closing.

I wish I could give this place a good rating because its location between Praia Mole and Lagoa is unique. It’s right in front of Praia Mole, and the little dog Índia was the politest, friendliest being in the hotel. She deserves five stars. We stayed during the first week of January, and the contrast between the location’s potential and the actual experience was shocking. The rooms are neglected and poorly maintained. We were first put in an adapted room we hadn’t requested, and it was damp and smelled strongly of mold. After complaining, we got a regular room, but it wasn’t much better. The air conditioner was very loud and unreliable. It felt like the hotel was built in the 1980s and never renovated. We saw mosquitoes, cockroaches, and silverfish, and cleaning was superficial. When we asked for things to be done, staff seemed unwilling or forgot basic jobs like taking out the trash. The lagoon pool deck and its access boards are rotten and look dangerous. Of the three pools, only the heated one was in reasonable condition. The rest of the area needs care. Staff were generally rude, ill-mannered, and unmotivated, with none of the courtesy or helpfulness you’d expect at these high nightly rates. We paid a lot for what should have been a decent stay and were treated like a nuisance. The price for such poor service and facilities is absurd. Breakfast isn’t included, and it’s expensive if you buy it separately, though it was the only acceptable meal. The hotel restaurant has a limited menu and the food wasn’t good. This place relies entirely on its location. The online advertising, with aerial photos and views, doesn’t show the reality of neglected rooms, run-down facilities, and awful service. I don’t recommend anyone stay here. I left feeling frustrated, ripped off, and disrespected. Other guests I spoke to shared the same dissatisfaction. It’s a shame a place with so much potential is managed with so little care. Avoid it if you can.

The hotel’s in a great location, but it’s badly cared for and missing basic maintenance. It had the potential to be amazing. Breakfast doesn’t start until 8 am, so early risers should look elsewhere. Staff need more training, especially the morning reception team. There was a lot of noise and commotion around 3 am, with people talking and laughing at reception and in the parking lot. For the nightly price, it isn’t worth it. I’d choose a better rated hotel farther away.
