Residencial Alecrim

Great.

The place is only four blocks from the beach, which is handy, but the stay was exhausting. My partner and I have celiac disease, and we booked through Break because they promised us a private kitchen to avoid cross-contamination. At first we got a shared kitchen. We stayed, and they moved us to a room with a private one, but without a double bed. We accepted that, but the pots, pans, and other utensils were dirty and in poor condition. During the last two days, the shower gave us electric shocks, and it took more than 12 hours for them to call someone to fix it. Everyone had to check out at 8:00 a.m. sharp, even though our bus wasn’t due until 2:00 p.m. There were a lot of us, and they wouldn’t let us use the bathroom at first. After several complaints, they finally did. We had to push so much to get each problem dealt with. This is a place to eat, sleep, and use the bathroom. If you expect more, look elsewhere.

The inn was awful, and the rooms were horrible. The pictures they post are the prettiest ones; when I went, the rooms were so bad I didn’t even take a photo. Don’t go.

The rooms were clean and well sanitized, and the pousada is near the beach, a supermarket, a pharmacy, and several restaurants. Amilton and Cláudia welcomed us so warmly and made us feel right at home. They’re lovely hosts, so caring, attentive, and friendly. I recommend it.
