The location made getting to beaches easy, and Praia Mole is close enough to walk to. Markets and restaurants are also within walking distance, with parking available at the hotel, which was a big plus. Jens, who owns and runs the place, was a gem: kind, helpful, and thoughtful about sharing specific ideas for adventures. He made me feel at home. The rooms are roomy and clean, and the hotel feels fabulous in a quiet, understated way. Breakfast was an amazing start to the day, with yogurt, homemade cakes, toast, juice, fresh fruit (OMG), meats, cheese, delicious coffee, and eggs made how you like them. I’ll be back, and I recommend staying here.

Breakfast was my favorite surprise: a full spread with fresh mango and Nutella. I only wish it started later than 8 AM. The rooms looked and smelled clean, and the staff were friendly and spoke multiple languages. I felt really comfortable here and would definitely stay again. Wonderful place.

Jens was a huge help when our flight was moved forward by 19 hours at the last minute. He called everyone he knew to find us a taxi to the airport for 2:30 AM. During our two rainy days, he also gave us thoughtful suggestions for walks and things to see. The Hyperion is spotless and well placed for exploring Floripa. Our room was a good size, and the WiFi was the best we had in Brazil. We’d definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Majestic Palace a couple of days later, and Hyperion was far better. Hyperion is clean and well kept, close to joaquina beach, and a short walk along the lake from lagoa da Conceição. Breakfast is simple, with the usual bread and eggs, plus some really good cakes. A super hotel in lagoa da conceição.

Jens and Pedro are such nice, helpful owners, and the place itself feels cozy. It’s the very best spot to stay near Joaquina and Mole beaches. Enjoy!
