A decent hotel in a small city, and the room was okay. There just aren’t many places to get lunch or dinner outside the hotel.

The hotel is old, and the rooms you see on booking sites don’t match what’s there now. The internet sometimes doesn’t show up at all, and even when it does and you connect, it may not work. There’s just one outlet at the desk, already occupied by the minibar. It’s an older outlet that won’t take grounded plugs, so you have to choose between charging a laptop and running the minibar. The room has no soundproofing, either. Street noise makes it hard to sleep before 10 pm or after 6 am. The parking is a few meters away. If you have luggage and are alone, sometimes you can’t even stop on the street to unload. There’s no valet. Given what’s offered, a fair price would be 200 reais at most.
