Apartment Beira Mar

The hotel staff were warm, polite, and attentive, including Sr. Heverson, Sra. Paula, and Sr. Alexandre, even though the apartment is privately owned. The flat has a full kitchenette with a sink, stove, microwave, and utensils, plus a washing machine that came in handy for rinsing the salt out of beach clothes. A few things could use better cleaning or upkeep, like the fridge freezer, living room fan, and pillows. The sea-facing view is wide open, and you can walk to the Iracema waterfront, market stalls, and restaurants. Pão de Açúcar is two blocks away. It’s a complete flat, but with just one double bed, it doesn’t seem suited to a large family.

I had a spacious room with a roomy bathroom, comfortable beds, and a sea view. The location is good. We had lunch at the sophisticated restaurant on the first day, but it was a little pricey, about twice what we would have paid at nearby restaurants. I hadn’t noticed when booking that breakfast wasn’t included, so I had to pay 30 per person.
