We spent a week in apartment 232 on the top floor of Helbor my Way Abolicao. The balcony had a great view across Fortaleza and straight out to sea. The pool was big enough to swim in, had plenty of afternoon shade, and felt relaxing. The location was convenient for the beach, a supermarket, and other essentials on foot, in a pretty safe area with lots of police patrols. The building also has 24/7 security with face recognition, laundry, a gym, barbecue area, and kids' play area. The living room and main bedroom had large modern TVs. There are several issues with this unit. The second bedroom is barely bigger than the bed. The windows have been replaced with balcony windows and can't be fully shut in any room, so heat, wind, and noise get in all the time. Other apartments in the building have regular windows. The smaller bedroom's AC didn't work, and the living room AC kept blowing the fuse when we arrived. That was fixed after a couple of days. The AC units on the balcony are loud. We only got one small towel and two large ones, no beach towels, and the kitchen equipment is dated. There were no basics when we arrived, not even drinking water, salt, pepper, or oil. The rental agency wanted 130 BRL/day per visitor when we planned a family dinner, which is more than we paid per person per night to stay there. Cleaning and electricity were charged separately, without any detail about our usage. We also had to follow up to get our deposit back. I'd stay in the building again, but the drawbacks of apartment 232 outweigh the good points.
