Hotel Flat Atlântico, Apartamento Com 02 Quartos

We came all the way from Rio de Janeiro for Carnival 2026, but left early. We were supposed to check out on 17/02/2026 and ended up leaving today. The apartment had no internet, the air conditioning barely worked, and cleaning was poor. The bathroom smelled, and I even had to buy cleaning supplies. The building itself is old and in rough shape. The elevators don't show floor numbers, and the power goes out here for no apparent reason, even though Fortaleza is lit up. It seems to be only this condominium. When we complained, the staff were rude and hung up on us. We rented apartment 303. There are other things I can't say here because I don't want to get anyone in trouble. Please don't fall for the same scam we did. Avoid staying here. Sorry for the rant, and take care.

We only stayed for a few hours, but still paid 50 reais for electricity on top of the daily rate. We had rented an apartment with a balcony, but they switched us to one without warning. By the time we found out, we were already inside, and someone else was in the apartment we had booked. We got no help and had to stay in the room we hadn't rented.

The location is the only thing going for it. The mattress has a dip in the middle, the bathroom leaks and has nowhere to put soap, and there wasn't even a fan. And, believe it or not, no toilet paper. The staff weren't friendly either. Stay away from this trap.

We came back from lunch and found our bags open, the balcony door open, and some of our things missing. We'd left everything shut because the flat was full of cockroaches. My perfume, which was new and costs around 200 reais, was gone, along with 15 reais from one guest, a can of beer from another, and even a cleaning cloth we'd bought to wipe the table with alcohol. There had only been four beers, one bottled drink and three cans in the minibar, so one missing can was easy to notice. The cleaner tried to explain it to the owner by saying the apartment was full of cans and dirty. They had only taken out the trash from one bathroom and swept the middle of the flat. Before any of this happened, I started taking photos as soon as I saw the cockroaches. Look at them and multiply by ten. This was the worst stay I've had in Fortaleza so far, and after all this, I don't feel we can trust the place. The owner came over when we told him. He said he'd look into it and reimburse us for the perfume and money, and that nothing like this had happened before. He did provide assistance, but his response afterward wasn't great. He seemed to doubt us, though I understand that. In the end, he sent us 230.
