We had an incredible time in Fortaleza, and the location, friendly staff, and buffet breakfast were all great. The problem was our keycard. It never worked properly, so several times a day we had to queue at reception for a new one, go back upstairs, and try again. Quite a hassle, which is why we're giving four stars instead of five.

The rooms are very spacious, and it's a decent hotel for a short stay. Things are getting old, though, and the bathroom and some kitchenware could use updating.

The location, rooms, and food were good enough, but the menu didn't have typical options like picanha or churrasco. Service wasn't at a three- or four-star level. I asked for two days to have my clothes washed, and it still wasn't done. Sometimes housekeeping didn't come to the room either.

The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Rooms are fairly spacious, though they could use some small renovations or upgrades. The hotel's location right on the water is interesting, with an outdoor patio where you can watch ships and other sea vessels pass while eating or having coffee. You can also sunbathe by the pool.
