The room was very clean, and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. It’s comfortable and good value, though starting to look dated and ready for an upgrade. The pool looks great and is usable, but could use more care: the walls are cracked, and the surface gathers scum and flies. I think it should be cleaned at least twice a day.

I had lunch at the buffet. There was plenty of food, which was a plus, but I wasn’t especially impressed by it. It was okay, and that’s where I’d take a star off. The setting is magnificent, and the pool is a good size with a children’s area beside it. I can’t fault the place overall, though. It’s superb, and I’d strongly recommend their New Year’s Eve parties. I’ve been to one and still have great memories. Peace and love...

The views, if you pay for a deluxe room, and the staff are the only good parts. Cearense people are nice everywhere. This is an absolutely awful and expensive place to stay, coasting on its old glory. The rooms have no amenities and the towels are old and dirty. It’s terribly unfriendly to the environment, the coffee is horrible, and the location means taking a taxi everywhere.

Inside, it’s a great place, and the establishment works hard to keep everything up to standard. The location isn’t among the best, though, and from the pool you can see the social divide very clearly.

I’m only reviewing the marina, not the hotel or its grounds. Getting a boat secured there is difficult because large stretches of the docks are missing and the marina is in poor condition. There are taxis right outside the hotel, and food and fuel are nearby.
