I stayed at this pousada before and loved it. They welcomed me warmly and looked after me well, and both the room and bedding were clean. I did see the complaint about there being no hot shower, but honestly, who takes a warm shower in Ceará in the Northeast? I highly recommend the place. I'll be back in January and, if possible, ask for the same room.

The pousada has good internet and two good employees, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. You'll pay less, but you may end up very frustrated. The breakfast wasn't really available for us. We asked for a cup of coffee, and the rude woman said it had run out. Couldn't they make even one cup? The woman who handled breakfast was also rude when she told my friend she needed to talk to him, then insisted he had to pay extra for his room change. The manager came over just as rudely, saying my friend had to pay because people were trying to get money out of them. I stepped in because of how he was speaking, and he turned on me too, saying I was wrong for checking in early and should pay as well. In the end, my friend paid the difference and we left. I said out loud that I'd wait for the transfer outside, since I wouldn't have been surprised if they tried to charge us for waiting. I even left their sidewalk. We'd gone to Fortaleza for work, covering an event that started at 5:30 in the morning and ended at 4:00 in the afternoon. I arrived at 5:00 a.m. to leave my bag with a friend who was already staying there, then head to the event. The night receptionist was very helpful and offered to let me into the room at no extra cost. I said it wasn't necessary since I'd be back in the afternoon, but he insisted, so I accepted and left my bag. When I returned at 3:30 p.m., a staff member tried to charge me for the early entry. I explained what had happened, and that was sorted out. My friend had arrived a day earlier and found that the internet in his room wasn't working. Since we needed internet for work, he asked to move to a room with a connection. The night employee moved him to one with better internet, which also had air conditioning. The next day, the manager tried to charge extra for the room change. My friend explained that he'd only asked for working internet and hadn't wanted a room with air conditioning.
