Pauli Boutique Hotel

We felt really welcome here. The front desk staff, cleaning ladies, restaurant team, and the person making tapiocas were all so nice. I even saw a woman setting up a breakfast table for a guy's birthday, and she was lovely about it. The place gave me the feel of a hotel in the USA. We visited five states in Brasil and stayed in four-star hotels, and this was the best one. If it were right on the beach, it would be perfect, but we'd still come back again and again.

A really disappointing experience. The hotel confirmed our reservation, then told us on the morning of check-in that it was overbooked and had assigned us to a sister hotel without asking for our approval. I messaged the hotel through Booking, but got no reply. We arrived late at night and were exhausted, so we checked into the other hotel. It was a three-star place compared with the four-star Tintto Hotel, and it felt completely unhygienic. There were prostitutes around the hotel and near its entrance. The rooms were very dirty, with stained walls and bedding. They charged us exactly what we had booked the Pauli Hotel for, even though the replacement was one star lower, wasn't our choice, and was unhygienic.

The shared spaces are wonderful, and breakfast was very satisfying. The rooms themselves are basic.

The shower was a little small, but it worked perfectly well, with good pressure and plenty of hot water. Our large room, which could fit a family of four, was spacious, with a table for four and a balcony looking over the pool and hot tub. The garden courtyard is beautiful, and the hotel has one of the best gyms I've ever seen. Breakfast was excellent too. It's a short walk to Fortaleza's beachfront area.
