The worst stay of my life, even after traveling to many places. The room location was awful: getting there meant climbing a very high staircase, with no protection at the top. Breakfast was disappointing, there was no private parking, and we had to leave the car on the street. The worst part was how management handled a towel charge. They charged me R$80, saying the towel had makeup on it, though I wasn’t wearing makeup. I asked them to try cleaning it and the stain came out, but they still charged me. They claimed repeatedly that it couldn’t be removed, and didn’t even try to clean it. They inspected the room without me or my husband there and said the towel was dirty. I’ve been asking for a receipt ever since, because as a customer I have the right to one. After a lot of pleading, they sent a receipt describing it as the purchase of a towel, as if I’d chosen to buy one from the pousada, which contradicts what they told me when charging. They’ve blocked my number and won’t answer calls or messages. When I was booking, they replied right away. There needs to be someone responsible for these problems, and staff who treat customers with respect. I’ll pursue my rights through legal channels. I hope they learn to treat people properly. I wouldn’t recommend this pousada to anyone.

The hotel is beautiful, well equipped, and everything feels new. Breakfast really is great. But we couldn’t sleep either of the two nights we stayed. Our room faced the street, and loud music from a nearby espetinho blasted late into the night. We complained to the hotel on WhatsApp and were told they’d take action, but nothing changed. I liked the hotel, but the noise means I wouldn’t return.

There’s lots of greenery and plenty of inviting spots outside to relax. The room is spacious and has air conditioning, a balcony, an electric shower, TV, and minibar. It’s right at the entrance to town, but there’s no private parking, so unfortunately the car has to stay on the street.

If peace and quiet are what you’re after, avoid this place. Noise from the road and outside carries into the rooms, and the night I stayed, a huge sound system started up nearby and ruined the peace. I couldn’t sleep.

The team made us feel welcome from reception through to the kitchen and gardening staff. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and helpful, and the care put into the guest experience really shows. The pousada was clean, organized, and welcoming, with excellent facilities and a delicious breakfast with great choices. Our stay in Fortim was wonderful, and it exceeded all our expectations. We’ll definitely come back and recommend it. An unforgettable experience, and the best pousada in Fortim! 💙🌴
