San Rafael Comfort Class Hotel

The pool was clean, with a pleasant place to sit and a small bar serving drinks and food at reasonable prices. The waitress and bartender were very friendly. The breakfast room was spacious and well stocked with sweet and savory pastries and some eggs. Coffee was available, but there were no lattes or espresso. We had to point out that neither the men's nor the women's restaurant bathroom had soap, which was a downside. The hotel itself was quiet and clean, in a fairly quiet, non-sketchy area. A busy street with plenty of places to eat and shop was only about two blocks away. The lobby also had a small shop and a travel agency that was very helpful. Our room was small but tidy. We got a double bed and a twin, though we hadn't requested two beds and I had expected one queen. The shower worked well, and the bed was fairly comfortable. The two men at the desk weren't very friendly, but they weren't rude either. I’d probably stay again. The place was clean and well located, and it's an unknown quantity.

The travel desk arranged my trip to the falls, and I also visited the bird sanctuary while I was there. The cost was reasonable, and breakfast was good. It made for a good stay in Foz.

The staff were always glad to help, and we enjoyed our time at Hotel San Rafael. Our room was spacious and very clean, with a good breakfast included. There’s a pleasant pool and a covered outdoor seating spot where you can have a beer and burger. The hotel also has an attached buffet, though it’s run independently. A tour desk arranged our trips to both sides of the Iguassu Falls. The shower took a little getting used to because it was a bit touchy.

Those little cups of coffee and cha in the lobby each afternoon became a small treat for us. The hotel is within walking distance of cafes, restaurants, and a supermarket, and it was easy enough to find a taxi or Uber. It’s centrally located in Foz, with decent-sized rooms and the essentials in the room and bathroom. The pool is large, though we couldn't use it because it was cold and raining. Staff were very helpful with requests, including booking a taxi to Iguazu Falls. Breakfast was quite large, with plenty of juices, cereals, cheeses, and hot drinks.
