It's very clean and well kept, and the rooms feel new and comfortable. Rooms facing the street are noisy, though. They could use bedside tables, clothes racks, and a little more kitchen equipment. Getting here from Argentina is a bit complicated, while being very close to Ciudad del Este is a plus.

The price is the only real advantage, though breakfast isn't bad. The room was a disaster: there's no shower enclosure, the shower keeps dripping, and the tap gives three very forceful streams despite the low water volume. There are two AC units. The split one works perfectly, but the old window unit sits directly under a leak when it rains, making it impossible to sleep.

The service is the real highlight, easily five-star. The hotel itself is basic, cheap, clean, and very practical. If you're expecting a Sheraton or a Bourbon, forget it. It gives a traveler or shopper what they need: a clean, comfortable bed, an inexpensive good dinner, a hot shower, and a good night's sleep.

I spent an incredible 10 minutes at this place. After looking over the facilities, I didn't dare stay. The accommodations are terrible. It only gets one star because there's no way to give less. It's sad that the owners haven't renovated and seem to rely on other hotels being full to get customers. Anyway.
