The room smelled strongly of bleach, as if it might be covering up poor cleaning, and the parking was in bad shape. There wasn’t a proper place to pick up or drop off passengers. Breakfast was poor and items weren’t replenished, while staff seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. The reception was awful, and the hotel’s quality left me doubtful. It doesn’t feel like an Ibis hotel at all.

This hotel needs better management. There was dust in the room, and the garage was extremely narrow, small, and not suited to the number of guests. There was also a sewage leak, and breakfast items weren’t replenished. Of all the Ibis hotels I’ve stayed in, this one was disappointing.

The room was small and dirty, with no hairdryer or soap holder, and there was no sound insulation. I could clearly hear people talking in other rooms, water running down the drain, and people showering, which made it very hard to rest. Breakfast was only served from 7 to 9 a.m., a very limited window for different kinds of guests. There was no manager to speak with about any of this, and the staff seemed to consist of one receptionist and one housekeeper. There are nearby places that are cheaper and much better in quality and safety. I had a terrible stay, will not return, and have no doubt this is the worst hotel in Foz do Iguaçu. The problems started at arrival. We waited 1h20min to check in because only one person was working, and they were new and still being trained, which reflected very poorly on the management. The garage was under renovation, covered in dirt and poorly lit. Its ramp had no warning signs and led to an unfinished second floor, creating a serious risk of an accident or fall. When we returned from dinner, the garage was locked. The receptionist was alone and said the previous employee had taken the key, so we had to leave the car unprotected on the street. In an emergency, guests wouldn’t have been able to get their vehicles out. The hotel also fell short in basic service. The breakfast hours were very restricted, and the room had none of the sound insulation needed for a decent night’s rest.

The rooms are spacious and recently modernized, the bathroom works well, and the area is quiet. Still, we stayed three nights and the hotel’s newness showed in its disorganization. Although it’s in a central area, the surroundings are mostly shops, offices, and repair businesses, not restaurants or cafés. The nearest restaurant is about 400 meters away, and you’ll need Uber or a taxi for pretty much any other trip. Breakfast was extremely poor. The cakes and bread were bought at the nearby supermarket and still in their original packaging; dirty plates were mixed in with clean ones, items weren’t replenished, and there was very little choice of bread, sweets, fruit, or hot dishes. It only starts at 7 a.m., so if you have an early flight or outing, you can’t count on it. There are no bakeries or cafés nearby, only the convenience shop at the closest gas station. Even with the “clean my room” sign up, nobody cleaned it. When I went to complain, there was no one at reception. I waited about five minutes, then gave up. The toilet paper in the rooms was also poor quality for what the hotel is meant to offer.

The breakfast was awful, the parking was terrible, and check-in took a long time. The price is at Ibis Style level, but the hotel doesn’t meet Ibis standards at all. My room had no internet, so at 20:20 we had to change rooms while my autistic son was asleep and my husband handled the move. The shower in the next room was cold. I’d left my very expensive shampoo and conditioner behind, but when I asked the next day, nobody had seen them. The staff who monitor the cameras don’t work weekends, and nobody else has access or seems to know how to deal with anything. The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
