Loft em Foz do Iguaçu

We stayed for 9 nights while waiting for the storms to pass, and the place was relaxed and friendly the whole time. Our double suite was spacious, with a private bathroom and hot shower. The three dogs are friendly and well behaved, there’s plenty of parking, and the wifi is good. The kitchen stays clean and has lots of pots, pans, cutlery, and other basics. It’s not too far from the Buddhist temple or Itaipu dam, and Uber works very well here. Joe, the manager, speaks good English and can share information about local sights and other places in South Brazil. He also put on a mini food fest while we were there. Highly recommended, and bike travellers are very welcome.

The owners look after the place themselves, avoiding the need to hire irresponsible workers, and you can feel the care and character that brings to the hostel. It’s very clean and roomy, more like a small hotel with extra beds than a hostel. There’s a nice bar by the swimming pool, and the owners sometimes hold little parties in the backyard. This is the coolest hostel, with such great people. Joe in particular was extremely helpful. We were freaking out about getting our covid test for the flight back to the US, and he stayed on top of it and made sure we knew where to go and what to do.

Friendly atmosphere, a decent grassy yard, secure parking, a kitchen and BBQ, hot water, and wifi that works. The pet dogs are well behaved too!
