Pousada Bem te vi

I arrived worried after booking and reading the negative reviews, so here’s how it went for me. My room was simple, but clean and well organized. The shower had a problem when we arrived, but I told the employee in charge and she treated me very well and replaced it, fixing the issue. It’s a wonderful place, with one drawback: I think the price explains why there’s no air conditioning. It would be wonderful to have AC in the room. If they add it, I’ll keep coming back.

Stay away. The room was unbearable, with a very strong mold smell, dirt, and lots of dust. The bathroom didn’t even have a shower curtain or a fabric mat on the floor. Everything was poor quality, and I was worried about whether the bedding was clean because of how neglected the room was. The reception and breakfast were at another hotel, Hotel Ferrugem Eco Village, 400 meters away. I won’t go near the place again. I slept badly, lost a day of my trip, and had to find another hotel at the last minute.

There are no windows or air conditioning in the room, and the sun heats the wall all afternoon. Breakfast isn’t included and is very expensive. The wall fan is so noisy that you either lose sleep from the heat or from the fan.

The place is depressing. The room stinks of mold, the bathroom smells like sewage, and the room is dirty. They offer cleaning during the stay, but don’t actually clean it. I asked for a blanket because I was cold and was told they only provide the bedspread, even though the listing says blankets are offered. Reception is at another hotel of theirs, a long walk away. The toilet seat is cracked and there’s no shower enclosure. The neighborhood is very noisy, and you can clearly hear all the commotion. There’s no TV in the room.
