Pousada Território da Paz

A very poor experience from start to finish. Nobody was there to greet us, and I waited more than 30 minutes before someone helped me check in. The room clearly hadn't been cleaned properly: there was beach sand on one of the beds, and water from an upstairs leak was dripping onto the bathroom floor. One night, guests had a loud fight and shouting, so we couldn't sleep. The walls don't block sound, and you can hear everything said in the next room. The shared kitchen was dirty, with bugs coming up through the sink pipe. Parking was chaotic, and there weren't enough spaces for all the guests.

It's a picturesque place, and the communal kitchen was clean and well equipped. The parking area holds five cars. A van could fit, but then other cars wouldn't have room to get out. There are 23 rooms. Our own fridge was quite small. The room was clean when we arrived, but sand made it dirty pretty quickly, and I couldn't tell whether there was a broom. We arrived late and were charged 50 reais for late check-in. They showed us the room and left without giving us any other information, even where the kitchen was. Maybe they're more helpful during the day, but since they charged that extra 50 reais, they could have been a bit more helpful. As I said, they didn't tell us anything when we arrived.

We couldn't get a good night's sleep because our room was beside the barbecue area, and the door was just a grille with no glass. It was also next to the kitchen and in poor condition, with a bad smell and dirty sheets. We tried to switch rooms but got no response. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience, and I wouldn't recommend this room at least.

A typical pousada for Ferrugem beach in SC. The location is a real plus, near the little town center. It doesn't have hotel-level amenities: there's no breakfast, bath towels aren't provided, and there isn't parking for every guest. They require a deposit, which is returned if everything is in order when you hand the room back.
