I spent Christmas Eve in Gramado on my own and stayed at this guesthouse. The host greeted me so warmly and kindly showed me around. There’s a women-only dorm, hot water is always available, and a place to hang laundry. I met lots of people in the shared spaces, and the host helped me try chimarrão, a traditional drink from southern Brazil. The whole experience felt so warm and full of love 🧡. There was a Christmas Eve party, with a lovely dinner made by the staff and hugs shared with everyone. It was the best Christmas ever. I’d absolutely come back.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!! Stay away. The room had no ventilation, and the bedding wasn’t changed, just pulled straight. There were mosquitoes all over the room. And get this, they turn off the room lights at 10 p.m., so you’re left to use a flashlight. The staff were helpful, though.

I had such lovely days here. Everyone treated me with care and respect, and I felt right at home. I loved everything and everyone. I’ll keep coming back!
