Hotel Aconchego da Serra

We found the hotel for about R$190 with a Booking discount, while the full price is around R$450. Based on our stay, I don’t think it’s worth that price without the discount. The first thing we noticed in the room was a strong smell, seemingly coming from the bathroom drain and reminiscent of sewage. It didn’t smell clean. The room felt stuck in the 90s, both in its structure and its upkeep. We got back in the early hours after being out and found the receptionist asleep on the reception sofa, with his feet propped on the backrest. It was an uncomfortable and unexpected sight. Breakfast was very basic, and some items seemed to have been reused. On the positive side, the woman serving us was extremely polite and attentive. My only positive points are the breakfast service and how easy check-in and check-out were. A word of caution: research carefully before staying here. A clean, fresh-smelling place should be the minimum at any accommodation.

We stayed for one night and were welcomed very warmly. Our bed and shower were excellent, and we also got to enjoy the games room. The breakfast had a good variety, in line with what you’d expect in Gramado. We especially liked the service, the location, and the free parking. Our room had a small window, though, which made it feel short on space and natural light.

The free bikes were a nice extra and made it easier to get around nearby. The location is quiet, with a market close by, though you’ll need a car or an app ride to reach the main attractions in Gramado and Canela. I had no trouble getting a ride. The room was spacious and well equipped, with a small window, and the bathroom was also roomy. The gas shower had great pressure, the air conditioning worked but had no heating function, and the large double bed was comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and had plenty of variety. I was welcomed well at check-in, and the reception area is spacious and comfortable. I’m only taking off a star because there was no toilet paper or soap in my room when I arrived. Reception brought them promptly when I asked. It’s worth staying here, and I recommend it.
