This was the second time my boyfriend and I stayed here. Our room surprised us: it was spacious, had very practical cupboards, and the minibar cooled things really well. The shower was nice and warm. Because of the pandemic, staff served breakfast, with a good selection of very tasty savory snacks. The coffee was strong and really good, just how we like it. The inn has its own parking and is a reasonable distance from central Gramado. Service was good, and cleanliness was okay. There’s a kitchen by the breakfast area with a microwave, sink, kettle, and household utensils available on request. Two drawbacks: the air conditioning didn’t cool very well, and the shower stall leaked, leaving the bathroom wet.

The team were all friendly, but I wanted to share a few constructive comments. Breakfast fell short for us: there weren’t many healthy choices, and the savory snacks were cold. Cleaning was generally good, but if we left anything on the table or bed, it wasn’t tidied or cleaned. We’re paying for that service, so it should be done. And the only mirror was the one over the bathroom sink, with none in the bedroom. I try not to be fussy, but these things really bothered me.

The staff were polite and kind, and I liked how clean the inn was. The room was spacious, the bed and pillow comfortable, and the shower very good. Breakfast, though, had too few choices and not much variety. We couldn’t serve ourselves. We had to ask the employee for anything we wanted, which I found uncomfortable. To follow the Covid-19 rules, I think it would work better to provide sanitizer, disposable gloves, and masks, then let guests serve themselves, as many restaurants and hotels were doing.

The room had no curtains or blackout covering, so it got light early and I couldn’t sleep once the daylight came in. There wasn’t a proper mirror, just a tiny one over the bathroom sink, and there was no makeup towel. They also hadn’t left soap in the room when I arrived, only putting some there the next day. Breakfast was very poor: no eggs or sausage, just basic cheese and ham, cold savory snacks, and almost nothing else. The location wasn’t so bad for me because I had my own car and didn’t need Uber. But if you’re relying on Uber, I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s far from the center, so trips there will probably be expensive.

The breakfast was poor. During the pandemic you couldn’t serve yourself, you had to tell an employee what you wanted and hand over the cup or plate from your table so she could put the food on it without gloves. The rooms had no blackout covering or curtains, so they were bright, and they weren’t cleaned well. Drips from a leak made noise as they hit the acrylic cover beside the room. It’s far from the center. I don’t recommend it.
