The room was spacious, and it was nice that they could serve food in the room. We ordered soup and pasta, and both were very good. The owner tries to be friendly and courteous. Still, we expected much more across the board based on the reviews. The damp, moldy smell was really bothersome, especially for someone with rhinitis and bronchitis. The room and bathroom weren’t properly clean, the sheets and pillowcases looked used, and the blankets smelled bad too. There was a lot of noise from other rooms, with people shouting, though maybe we were just unlucky with our neighbors. Breakfast had some variety, but several items tasted stale. The pão de queijo was hard and dry.

We were greeted as soon as we arrived by Thor, a Golden Retriever, and that sweet dog made such a difference. I was charmed by every detail of this pousada. Everyone on the team helped make our trip to Gramado unforgettable.
