Pousada Viena

Excellent.

Breakfast was plentiful, varied, and really tasty. At busy times the dining area can feel a bit small and can’t seat all the guests at once, but we worked around it without any trouble. We were a large group, and our stay in Gramado was really special and peaceful. We’d definitely stay here again. We spent 7 days at the inn in March and had a very good experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, attentive, helpful, and polite. Housekeeping was a highlight: whenever we went out, the room was tidied, the towels were changed, and everything was clean and organized. The room was comfortable and well lit, with a spacious shower, a hair dryer, and hot and cold water that both worked perfectly. The location is excellent, close to the center, so we could do almost everything on foot. We also thought the value for money was very good. A couple of things might matter to some guests, though they weren’t problems for us. There’s no elevator, only stairs, and the building has 4 floors, so anyone with mobility difficulties may want to choose a lower floor or the ground floor. The double beds are made by joining two single beds with a pillow top. That was fine for us, but might bother some people.

My family and I stayed here during Carnival, and the location was great. I’m grateful for the excellent service, the staff’s kindness, the cleanliness, and how attentive they were to what we needed. I brought my 8-month-old baby, and we felt at home. Everyone was very helpful. I also got to meet the owners, who are really nice!

The location is perfect, close to everything, including the covered street, bars, and restaurants. The church is a two-minute walk away. One downside: our room was right between reception and the kitchen, so in the morning I’d always wake up when children came down for breakfast. Just something to keep in mind. The room I booked was for a couple.
