Having breakfast right on the beach was priceless. The pousada is right by the sea, with air conditioning and a hot shower, which feels like a real luxury in Superagui. You can only reach the island by boat, and we don't even know how electricity gets there, so the stay offered much more than we expected.

The island is beautiful, and the people are kind, down to earth, and welcoming. At the pousada, Dona Olga made us feel very well received. She's an incredible person. The place was clean and close to several restaurants.

The lack of internet could be a complaint since it kept cutting out, but honestly, that feels like a silly thing to worry about when you're looking for a roots experience. Olga and Renato are welcoming, interesting, and friendly. The place is clean and pleasant, and her life story as an educator who worked hard to bring a school to the island is worth the stars on its own.

I've known the island since 1991, and over the decades I haven't found another pousada with so many advantages for travelers. The kindness, cleanliness, and great breakfast stand out, along with the comfort and the care from Jeovana and Dona Olga that round out a really good stay.
