Pousada Estrela Dourada

Okay.

Great.

Just average.

We paid and checked in at 2 pm, but were gone by 4. My wife wanted to stay after we’d paid, but I couldn’t get past how rude the curly-haired woman was. I don’t know if she owns the inn, though it seemed like she might. She arrived with a laptop, chest out, ready to argue about the price, without even saying good afternoon or hello. Earlier, a friendly older woman had greeted us. When she asked if the price was $180, I politely said I thought I’d seen $160 on the booking site. I also told her it was fine to charge $180 and that I might have mixed it up. I wasn’t there to argue over a small difference, especially since we were only staying one night. Still, the other woman came over insisting I was wrong and the inn was right. I eventually left because I don’t like being treated rudely by someone I’ve just met.
