The staff were polite, but everything else was a zero for me. The place felt abandoned. I was really upset during what should have been a special occasion, my youngest cousin's wedding. I booked for three people for March 13 to 16 so we could attend the wedding at Guaibuba beach, but my sister couldn't come because of medical problems. I sent in the medical certificate, and the guesthouse refunded me R$ 50,00. The room smelled musty, the shower stall was filthy, and I ended up sleeping without a sheet because there were hairs and pubic hair on the bed. There was no reception after 23h30. I reported it to the housekeeper, who didn't seem pleased. They changed the sheet but didn't clean the room. There was still dirt and sand in the shower, sand in the room, and beach salt all over the table and chairs on the balcony. A dog barked at night, and the air conditioner was dirty and noisy. Breakfast was simple, and we had to keep chasing staff to refill things and bring dishes. The tables took a long time to be cleaned after guests ate. I couldn't use the pool because a diving course was taking place on two of the days. I don't recommend it.

The pool area is pretty and leafy, and the reception staff were five star, polite and helpful. The main drawback is the old, VERY noisy air conditioner. I had to switch it off to fall asleep. The guesthouse is very close to the beach, just a two minute walk, but you pay extra for that location because the building is quite old and breakfast isn't anything special.

The garden is very natural, so watch out for the heavy jackfruit trees. One fruit fell right beside me and I nearly left for heaven. Still, sitting under those huge trees almost makes up for the trouble. Bring insect repellent and an electric mosquito swatter. I spent three nights without sleeping properly. If you struggle to sleep in the heat, don't go. The window air conditioner was terrible, like having a tractor in the room, and it really let the place down. I paid a lot and it wasn't worth it. The rooms are very old, with broken flooring and really dirty bathroom tiles. The TV was tiny, so I didn't even bother turning it on. Breakfast had variety, but everything was made the day before, even the juice. The receptionists were great, and the place is very close to the beach.

The beach is a little paradise, with clean, calm water that's great for families with kids, and the kiosks have good facilities. The guesthouse is very close to the beach, in a safe area with active police patrols and a police battalion next door. The whole place is peaceful, especially with the birdsong, so it's great if you love nature and want a real rest. The team is helpful, polite, and attentive, and makes you feel at home. There's a great setup with a hydro tub, spa, pool, and a very complete breakfast. A wonderful, unforgettable stay. We'll be back soon, highly recommend it.
