Charme Hotel Guarujá

The hotel has a rustic look, which adds to the adventure, and it’s right across from the beach. A green and white kiosk provides umbrellas and beach chairs through the hotel; just buy some food or drinks from them to help the guys out. Breakfast is free, healthy, and has a good range of cut fruit. There’s also a restaurant on site, though it only serves bar food. Service and prices were great. The pool closing at 8pm was the only issue I noticed. There’s a nice restaurant around the corner that stays open until midnight.

It’s a nice place at a fair price, very close to the beach. The crew weren’t very sympathetic, and breakfast got unpleasant when they questioned the reservation deposit. It was sorted quickly once we showed the card payment receipt. They need to be more organized: we got two calls during the night, at 2 am, one about a pizza delivery we hadn’t asked for and another about room maintenance.

Everything else was great, from the drinks and pool to the large room and beach just across the street. The staff were very friendly, though they didn’t speak English, and you can get by just fine. The bedroom wifi didn’t work. Also, the key for our friends’ room 161 opened our room 162.

Right next to the beach, with plenty of parking. The rooms were clean, breakfast was good, and it’s a solid hotel.
