A great weekend escape from everyday life in Sao Paulo. The surf isn't too strong, the water is warm enough, in the mid 70s, and the vibe is relaxed. It feels family oriented, with plenty of lifeguards and police patrols. Loved it.

It gets crowded with beautiful beach people, and there's not much else to do. This is very much a beach resort area, and it's rather pricey. You can go barefoot in beachwear pretty much anywhere.
