Ibis Guarulhos Aeroporto

Breakfast starting at 4:30 a.m. was a big help when we needed to leave at 6. During our pleasant four-night stay at Ibis Guarulhos, the reception staff were always ready to help. We’re especially grateful to Julia Tortorella and her sister for being so accommodating. The cleaning lady on the 3rd floor also helped when I asked for extra pillows and towels. It may be rated 3-star, but the service was definitely 5-STAR! MUITO OBRIGADO!

The food was excellent, there was always plenty available, and the outdoor area and common spaces were really nice. Some staff were friendly, though most weren’t, and reception didn’t seem very happy with my requests. I was tired and just wanted a comfortable bed and a decent shower. As a solo traveler, I got a room with three twin beds instead of one double. The bed I used was the smallest I’ve slept in for a long time, almost like a child’s bed. The other two took up the rest of the room, though pushing them together might have helped. The shower started lukewarm. I asked to switch rooms for a hotter shower and a normal bed, but couldn’t. They fixed the shower, but the water kept changing from hot to cold.

The breakfast was the only thing I can praise here. The room had mold, the shower worked badly, the bed linen was dirty, and the towels were terribly poor quality. Some of that is visible in the pictures. I don’t know if this is normal for this particular Íbis, but it’s the worst one I’ve stayed in, and I’ve used Ibis hotels around the world as a reliable option. The location is reasonably close to the airport, about 15 minutes away, but there’s nothing nearby. You go there to wait for your flight, and that’s it. I’d never choose this one again.

Loved the food and the service! It was my first time in Brazil, and I’ll definitely be back. Love from a US American girl! 💚💙💛🇧🇷🇺🇸
