The welcome, room, and cleaning were all good, but I missed having a minibar. The website says every room has one, and that wasn’t true for ours. It also doesn’t make clear that breakfast is served elsewhere, about 500 meters away. That could be a real drawback in the rain or for someone who has trouble walking. Breakfast itself was quite basic. On the second day it seemed to be leftovers from the day before: a slice of pie, one cheese roll, smaller-cut papaya, two slices of mozzarella, and three of ham. There were no eggs or sausage that day. Maybe they forgot about us, or maybe that’s how the place runs. On our first morning, reception and breakfast shared a very small space, with people handling luggage while others served themselves. Seeing people pay, I even wondered whether breakfast cost extra. I wouldn’t recommend staying here or return myself. There’s room to improve the breakfast location and replenishment, separate it from reception for hygiene, and fix the website details and photos. We spent six days here and had no complaints. The place feels cozy and was clean, and the bedding and towels were fresh and smelled nice. There was water in the minibar. Sandra was especially friendly and pointed us toward the best spots as our tourist guide. Breakfast being somewhere else didn’t bother us at all, it was just a three-block morning walk. I’d definitely recommend it.

The only practical snag was parking, since there isn’t space for every car. Otherwise, it’s a peaceful place with a roomy bedroom, a very good bed, and a nice bathroom. Breakfast is served in the house almost like an extension of the inn, two streets down, and it was excellent. Everything felt convenient.

The welcome was disappointing. Communication with the staff was very limited, and even though we asked about things to do during Carnival, they didn’t offer any suggestions. They didn’t seem to know about the flower float parade either. On the plus side, Casa is close to the town center, so nearly all the sights can be reached on foot, and the air conditioning was a welcome comfort.
