The staff were wonderful, and Brazil is incredible, but I thought this hotel was overpriced for what it offers. It sits right beside the road, which makes getting off the road convenient, though the traffic noise is constant. In the pouring rain it was hard to see the road, and the single-pane windows did nothing to block the sound. The beds are basic with thin mattresses, and not especially comfortable. There are very few pillows, the room is minimalist, and there aren't enough plugs within reach or bedside tables. Breakfast was disappointing too, with only a few fruit choices and cold coffee.

We only ate at the buffet restaurant, and it was delightful. It costs a bit more, but I think it's worth it. Salmon and grilled meats are included in the price, which isn't the norm in the city. Worth going on a weekend.

For travelers, the location is really convenient, just down the road, and the prices are good. There's also a handy restaurant in the basement. The hotel is really nice, and the boiler system supplies the shower, so you can enjoy a nice long shower.
