The island is our little refuge, and Pousada Recanto is where we always stay. We’ve been coming to this paradise every year for 14 years, even if it’s just for a weekend to rest and recharge. From our very first visit to now, Sr João and his whole family have welcomed us with warmth, affection, big smiles, and the kind of hugs you get from family. We never have to worry about where to stay, and we’ll keep coming back because we know they’ll always make us feel welcome.

We loved our stay and will definitely return. The place is tidy and peaceful, and Sr. João was so attentive when he welcomed us. Breakfast was simple, but delicious.

Our four-day holiday stay was really disappointing. We never got fresh towels, and no one even took the bathroom trash out. The inn is poorly maintained, with dirty hallways and stairs. In our apartment, the stove and refrigerator were rusty, the TV was an old 14-inch tube set, and the wall air conditioner made such a racket when switched on that it sounded like an earthquake.
