The small beach here is peaceful and cosy, with clear, pristine water, and the location is excellent. We found the rooms clean and comfortable, and there was a great TV for Netflix and more. I especially loved the food: the scallops and seafood risotto I tried were both absolutely delicious. A private, quiet place that's perfect for a relaxing getaway. I can confidently recommend it! 💦🫶🏽😍

Francisco and his team know Ilha Grande well and had plenty of suggestions for things to do. They were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The pousada was beautiful and very clean, and we felt completely comfortable there. We stayed at La Coquille in July 2024, had a wonderful time, and will definitely return.

The cake they served with breakfast each day was delicious, and guests from other places even came to La Coquille for meals. The pousada is well placed for swimming and hiking, with restaurants and cafes nearby. Best of all was Diego's service. He went above and beyond, and we're so grateful. Thanks, Diego! A really good experience.

The meals were out of this world, with generous servings and so much flavor. I have no words! The place itself was clean, cosy and comfortable, with a great bed, pillows and shower. They helped us explore the local hiking trails and offered boat trips, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. The service was incredible, and we had the best time at La Coquille. It was hard to leave.

A laid-back spot for a few days away with friends or family. We visited with friends in Dec 2024 and loved swimming, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding right in front of the hotel. Lagoa Verde was a highlight for snorkeling, about a 20-30 minute walk away. There are also a few nearby places to eat, which was handy on an island, and we had some excellent meals at the hotel. Breakfast had a nice range of fruit and other options. The beach views were beautiful, especially from the hotel lounge, and it's easy to reach by ferry from Angra dos Reis. Diego was enthusiastic and friendly, and arranged everything for us. The chef and other staff did a good job.
