Pousada Pé na Areia

We waited over an hour and a half for a salad, ceviche, and fruit juices. The waiters seemed not to care, and when we asked how much longer the food would take, they ignored us. Then the bill included two drinks we hadn’t ordered or had. They argued at first, but since we’d paid by card, they said they couldn’t refund us and told us to either drink two beverages or leave. It took another 15 minutes to bring two cans of cola, and they charged a service fee too. The worst restaurant experience of my life. I do not recommend it.

I paid over $150US a night, even though other places cost half as much, and this hotel is ridiculously overpriced for what you get. The rooms are tiny, and the sheets and towels were stained. My room smelled so strongly of sewage that I couldn’t sleep. Thankfully they moved me away from the smell on the second night. At that price, it might be worth half as much, but only if there’s no sewage smell.
