Baepi Suites Ilhabela

For R$ 1800 reais, we stayed in this suite for 3 days, and it was a disappointment. There was no breakfast or cleaning service. The room and bathroom weren’t cleaned at all during our stay, the trash wasn’t collected, and they didn’t replace the towels or toilet paper. There was no soap either. A microwave, plates, and cutlery were available, but dirty dishes could sit there for days because nobody picked them up. Parking was next door, with just one covered spot. The roof was falling apart, the grass had grown very high, and the gate was left open all the time with no lock. We couldn’t pay in installments. Half the cost was due in advance, and we had to go to the center to pay the rest. We also arrived early to check in and were told the suite was occupied, so we couldn’t. When we called to ask the owner for a favor, they wouldn’t even hear us out. Paying 600 reais a day for all that just isn’t worth it.

It’s a quiet place with parking, and the room and bathroom were extremely clean. The price seemed fair for what was offered. You do need a car, though, since the beaches are too far to walk to.

The suites were clean and tidy, the place felt safe, and the service was first-rate. The shared microwave was a bit uncomfortable, and the spiral staircase leading to the rooms was the one drawback. For the price, I’d recommend it overall.

A really good place, clean and easy to get to. The owner, Daniela, if I’ve got that right, was very friendly and helpful. I’d definitely recommend it.
