A nice place to wander around, though much smaller than I expected. I thought the middle street would be longer, but it’s only about 50 meters. The little center is tiny, but nice.

Ilhabela’s old town is pretty and bohemian, with historic buildings to visit and places to eat or enjoy the evening. If you park in the center, check whether you need a zona verde/azul parking ticket to avoid a fine. There’s no app, just a small card. Shops sell them and usually have a notice in the window.
