We absolutely loved staying at Sr. Danilo and sra. Ivete’s inn. They were both wonderful hosts, and the place was spotless and cozy. The location is handy for the market and bus stop, and it’s also close to the beaches and waterfall. We loved everything!

The room, service, and location all met my expectations. Everything was very clean, and they provide a kitchen. A really good place!
I had a lovely stay and would come back, though I do have some caveats, especially for anyone traveling alone like me. The shared areas were clean, bright, airy, and cozy, but I had to sweep my room because I could feel dirt on my feet when walking barefoot. There was a slightly sharp smell in the bathroom. At first I thought it was from the drain, so I ended up washing the bathroom myself. When I’m paying to rest, that kind of cleanliness matters a lot to me. The inn is in the south of the island. Some people say the location is great, but I have reservations. If you’re on your own without a car, it’s not near the center, so you’ll need to take the bus. There’s no Uber on the island. There aren’t many options nearby at night, and the walk to the beach takes 10 to 15 minutes, including a stretch along a highway-like road with no houses nearby, so be careful. The beach itself is beautiful. It’s also about 15 minutes from the Paquetá infinity waterfall. To get to the third waterfall, you have to cross the second one, and there were no signs when I went. There were some sketchy people in the parking area at the waterfall entrance, so stay alert. If you’re by yourself, try to join a group passing through and go a little later, when there’s more foot traffic. I wouldn’t recommend going alone to watch the sunrise or sunset. There are lots of ups and downs, so it may be tough if you don’t have a car and aren’t used to walking. For resting, though, the place is perfect. With a car, everything is 5, 10, or 15 minutes away. Most tour pickups came to the inn. For boat trips, I had to walk to the meeting point at the beach, but the timing worked out. I had a great time despite those details. I recommend it with these caveats. If you can, rent a car, even just for one night, so you can enjoy more of the island’s nightlife. It’s more worthwhile than paying for taxis, and taxis aren’t readily available on the street, so it can be hard if you don’t know someone who can recommend one. When I arrived it was really hot, and the owners’ nephew offered me 2 free bottles of water. They don’t provide beach towels, so bring your own. I needed a little oil, and the owners gave me some and were helpful. The internet is good, so I recommend it if you travel alone like I do, work from home, or need it for work or study, as long as those caveats work for you. Have a good trip. After Jeri, this is my paradise on earth.
One of the best inns I’ve stayed at, I highly recommend it. Sr Ivete and Sr Danilo were very attentive, and the place was clean and organized. It’s in a great location near the waterfall, Praia Grande, Curral, and Praia das conchas.
I’m staying at Suítes Paquetá Ilhabela and really enjoying it. The location is excellent, on a quiet street close to the beaches. Having parking inside the property is a big help, and Cachoeira Paqueta is very close, within walking distance. The room is comfortable, with air conditioning, a fridge, and basic items and kitchen utensils for making breakfast. The rooms are clean and spacious, which makes for a pleasant, peaceful stay. There’s also a market and pharmacy nearby, handy if you need to pick something up. I’d definitely recommend Suíte Paqueta Ilhabela for a comfortable and convenient stay in the area.
