Pousada Terra Doce

Great.

The sound of animals and wind moving through the trees makes falling asleep here my favorite part. It feels like the earth is wrapping me up in nature. The pool is lovely, and room service is quick and efficient. I love this inn. My friends and I have been meeting here to celebrate for seven years. Highly recommend!

The staff were great, the rooms were clean, and breakfast was decent. The pool was the letdown: the water looked dirty, almost like a mix of water and hair conditioner, and in some spots the slimy floor made my feet slip. I don’t think it’s being maintained by a professional. There are bugs across the whole town, not just at the inn, so if you’re allergic to insect bites, bring repellent and SBP. One other suggestion: it’d be more comfortable if the minibar were left empty. Ours was already stocked with things the inn offers in case guests want them, and I was traveling with my daughter’s food, so there was barely room for her things. Worse, you have to pay even if you take the inn’s items out without consuming them.

The staff were polite and very professional, and breakfast came in generous portions. It’s a simple, welcoming place with a close feel to nature. Excellent, and fairly priced.
