Cantinho da Barra

I booked through Booking because it was the only place I found at a more affordable rate, R$198 for one night. Then there was another R$35 for a towel and bedsheet kit, which was moldy and covered in stains. The bed was two single beds pushed together. I was there for work and needed an invoice, but Srta Hanna said she was a micro-entrepreneur and couldn't issue one. She had no stamp, just a handwritten receipt, which I figured was better than nothing. But when I asked for it, she seemed completely unwilling to give me the paper copy and only sent a photo. When I questioned that, she stressed that she always did it that way, which was wrong. It was a terrible night at this Cantinho da Barra. I got there at 9 p.m. just to sleep and left at 6 a.m., paying R$233 in total for what felt like no service at all. They charge a lot for an overnight stay, almost like a full day's rate. I don't recommend the place. The listing on Booking is poorly described, and any wrong information on Booking comes from the owner who entered it, not from Booking. Air conditioning is only in the upstairs room. It's 12km from the center of imbituba. If I'd known it would be like this, I never would've paid so much to sleep badly. I was tired and wanted to get to bed, so I booked on impulse, and it cost me.

The place is close enough to reach the beach, restaurants, market, and pizzeria on foot. Our room was spacious and spotless, and breakfast was delicious. Márcia, the manager, is such a lovely person, attentive and polite. Just perfect. We'll definitely be back ❤️❤️😍😍

We had a wonderful few days here, and the hosts were fantastic. It feels peaceful while still being right by all the shops, with private parking and a private barbecue. The lagoon is a five-minute walk and the sea is seven minutes away. The sobrado is laid out really well, with a fully equipped American-style kitchen, social bathroom, and living room/bedroom downstairs, plus a suite and small balcony upstairs. Great beds and top-notch climate control. If you want a quiet stay, this is the place. Highly recommend!

It's clean and close to the beach, and the place itself is good. The beds aren't very comfortable, though, and they don't provide bed linen. Also, after I made the reservation, everything seemed fine, but then there was a $40 cleaning fee that the site hadn't mentioned. That could've been explained more clearly.
