Casa Ibiraquera/Praia do Rosa 1

My pick for the best hostel in praia do rosa.

Hey, yes.

Really good.

We knew it would be a simple place, but we still expected basic cleanliness and organization to keep guests safe and cared for. The experience was TERRIBLE. We were told there weren't other guests in the shared room yet, given instructions for arranging things, and marked the beds we chose. When we came back that night, other guests were in those beds and our belongings had been moved. After talking it through, we found out they had actually been there already, so the hostel had given us completely wrong information. The room also looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time. The bathroom was filthy, with dead mosquitoes on and around the sink and trash piled up. All the bed sheets were dirty. There was no key for the door, and the inside locks didn't work, which left us feeling unsafe. In the shared kitchen, the microwave had no turntable for food, but we were told it could still be used. The kitchen itself also clearly hadn't been cleaned well.
