Pousada Bungalow

The staff were so friendly and the room had air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a TV. It’s just a few steps from the beach and about seven blocks from the town center. Breakfast was delicious and had plenty to choose from: coffee, milk, orange juice, yogurt, granola, fruit, ham, cheese, jams, butter, bread, cheese bread, and pudding. Highly recommended!

We loved the comfortable rooms, and ours was spotless when we arrived. The gas shower had lovely hot water, and there’s a nearby walking trail to the beach. It’s also close to the center. The pousada is charming and romantic, and the staff were so polite and helpful. The bungalows are bigger and prettier than they look in the photos. I loved it and already want to come back next year!

We went in winter, and the air conditioning did a great job heating the room. The chalets are close to the beach, and the service was exceptional. Breakfast arrives on a tray at the time you schedule, which is a lovely touch, and it was delicious. They also lend guests beach chairs, an umbrella, and beach towels for free. Highly recommend!

I was scammed while trying to book a New Year’s stay at Pousada Bungalow in Praia do Rosa, Santa Catarina. To be clear, the pousada did not carry out the scam. A fake profile was pretending to be them. But the way the pousada responded afterward was disappointing and negligent. My wife and I found what looked like the pousada’s real Instagram account and arranged a booking through WhatsApp. I was persuaded to make two PIX payments totaling R$400. When I realized what had happened, I contacted the official Pousada Bungalow page. They took a long time to respond and showed no empathy at all. They didn’t even say they were sorry that I’d been scammed while trying to stay there. I asked why there hadn’t been a warning about the fake profile. They said they already knew about it and often posted stories about the issue. But the scam happened at around 13:09, and their warning about the fake profile only went up at 17:00 that day. When I asked why there hadn’t been a notice that morning, all I got was, “I can’t tell you today.” That’s unacceptable. A pousada that cares about guests’ safety and trust should be more proactive. Occasional stories aren’t enough. There should be a permanent warning on its social media and clear advice for customers on how to avoid getting scammed. The lack of empathy, help, and timely communication only reinforced how ineffective the service was and how little concern they showed for people hoping to stay there. I expected more care and responsibility, but the reply I got was cold and uninterested.
