Pousada Flor De Porto

The neighbor on the same street helped us find another pousada after we were left with nowhere to go. We’d traveled to Porto de Galinhas as a family and booked this place for four people, paying as instructed. When we arrived, they said it was only for two adults, but I’d never received a booking number or confirmation email. At 2 a.m., with two children, we were left out on the street. When I asked to cancel, the attendant said there’d be no refund. They then asked for another R$52 to “sort it out.” I paid by Pix, bringing the total to R$261. After that, they tried to photograph everyone’s documents. I refused for safety reasons, since I’d never seen that before. The owner decided not to let us stay and wouldn’t return any money. Be careful, there’s another establishment of theirs on the same street, Flor de Maracá. The area is isolated and deserted. I still haven’t had a refund or even a message.

The breakfast was good, but we had to go to their other pousada for it. The room smelled moldy and had little ventilation, and the bed was uncomfortable. Wi-Fi and TV didn’t work, so forget about working from there. Poor value for the money.

Everything we needed was close by, including tourist spots, a market and a pharmacy. There’s also a laundry across from the pousada, which made our stay much easier. Ana, the manager, was very attentive and helpful. We came as a family and enjoyed the stay. It’s a simple place, but quiet and cozy, with good air conditioning and a good breakfast. The breakfast is at the pousada next door. We’d come back if we get another chance.

I arrived for New Year’s Eve with a reservation, only to find my room had been rented to someone else. I was left out on the street.
