Pousada Uba Rio

It was fine.

Great!

The one thing that bothered us was the noise on our last night. Another guest or group was slamming doors and making a commotion from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m. I can’t say whether they were arguing, drunk, or something else. People complained, but it didn’t get resolved, and we lost sleep. Apart from that, the inn was simple but cozy, with a good room and air conditioning. The TV was the only downside because it wouldn’t connect to Wi-Fi. We were out sightseeing most of the time, but the staff always left our room tidy, smelling nice, and even decorated. They also let us check in early: we arrived around 11 and had the room by noon. When we asked, they served breakfast before the usual time without any fuss. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of variety every day. A special mention to Carol at reception, who was really friendly and helpful.

The rooms are simple rather than luxurious, and the TV only gets three or four channels, along with a few other small room and bathroom issues. Still, I had a lovely stay and got a good rest. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great, with a location just a block from the beach. I’d happily recommend it.
